Odd ones out
Lord Howe Island (Australia) moves its clocks by only 30 minutes.
Phoenix skips daylight saving time — most of Arizona stays on standard time all year, as does Honolulu.
Mexico City stopped changing in 2022 after the Senate voted 59–25 to abolish it, but border cities like Tijuana still follow the US.
Ürümqi runs on Beijing time, more than 2,000 km west of Beijing, so winter sunrise comes very late. Try it in the Daylight Lab.
Tromsø gets weeks without any sunrise, whatever the clocks say: see the polar night.
