Name Seal 이름 도장
Your name in Hangul
Hangul was made so anyone could write any sound. Prove it: type your name and we'll spell it the way Korean writes foreign names — then carve it into a red seal (도장, dojang).
How foreign names become Hangul
- Korean syllables can't end in most consonants, so leftovers get a soft ㅡ (eu): Max → 맥스 (maek-seu).
- There's no f, v, z or th: f → ㅍ, v → ㅂ, z → ㅈ, th → ㅅ.
- An l between vowels doubles up: Ella → 엘라 (el-la).
- Common names use their established spellings; anything else is spelled by rule, so a Korean friend might write yours a little differently. Edit it above if so.
